Gloucester History Day 2008

The parade enters Gloucester Docks

Gloucester's colourful history, from Roman times up until the Second World War, was brought to life by around 350 re-enactors. Roman encampments, medieval knights, English civil war scenes, Victorian classrooms, Vikings, Nelsonian boats, sailors and Second World War military vehicles were all there.

The event started with a parade from Gloucester Cathedral, through the city and on to Gloucester Docks.
